Or in my case, content creator, update thy website.
A funny thing happened recently. I was talking with a client about the importance of keeping websites current, and reflective of where a business is today. You know, practicing what I preach.
Then I took a hard look at my own website. Yikes.
It wasn't terrible, but it simply wasn't me anymore. The business had evolved and my services had expanded. My experience had grown, yet my website was still wearing clothes that no longer fit.
Sound familiar?
It's easy to get busy serving clients, meeting deadlines, attending networking events, traveling, raising families, seeing friends, and juggling the thousand things that demand our attention every day. Before you know it, months or years have passed since you last gave your website a meaningful update, and that's exactly what happened to me.
Well, better late than never.
I'm excited to share my refreshed website, WordsWorkCopywriting.com. It does a much better job of reflecting who I am, what I do, and how I help clients create content that connects, starts conversations, builds trust and relationships, and supports business growth. I hope you'll take a few minutes to scroll through and see what's new.
More importantly, I hope you'll use this as a reminder to take a look at your own content efforts.
Are you writing consistently?
Are you sharing your expertise?
Are you staying visible to the people who need what you offer?
Are you making time for that blog, newsletter, LinkedIn post, email campaign, or website update that keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list?
Content doesn't have to be perfect, but it does need to exist. Too many talented professionals are doing amazing work while remaining virtually invisible because they aren't communicating what they do and how they help.
As they say, out of sight, out of mind!
If time is your biggest obstacle, don't let that stop you. Get help! Yes, I'd love for that help to be me. (My clients tell me I'm pretty good at this.) Whether it's me or someone else, find a solution that allows you to stay visible and keep your message moving forward.
Your future clients can't find you if you're silent.
