I don’t mean to be aggressive or hostile in any way but I must ask you, how long have you been thinking about doing a newsletter or blog or getting involved in some sort of meaningful way on social media?
Days? Weeks? Months or even longer?
I have many clients that spent many months and in some cases more than a few years thinking about starting a newsletter. I also have a few that started writing and three issues in they let it lapse citing the amount of time it took to write the articles and get it distributed.
The same holds true for some of my blogging and social media clients.
It doesn’t have to be this way and here are some options for you to explore:
* Repurpose articles and videos and post them to your social media sites (with full attribution of course). It’s best to comment on them so that you add value and position yourself as a thought leader rather than someone that is simply reposting ad nauseam.
* Use guest bloggers to keep the content momentum going.
* Use professional content developers to write your articles and social media posts.
* Determine whether or not you really need to grow your visibility by using content or are you accomplishing your goals in another way.
The point is to not waste time and BS yourselves. If you want to engage in content marketing then do so. Don’t make excuses, establish an action plan complete with a timeline and get started.
And if you don’t have the time to do it or perhaps don’t feel that you have the skills either, then identify your resource/s and get started that way.
