10 Things You Should Know About Me (Before I Write in Your Voice)

ree

Let’s make this personal, shall we?

If we’re going to work together, meaning I’m going to step into your shoes, wear your brand voice like my favorite denim jacket, and turn your ideas into click-worthy content, it’s only fair you know a few things about me.

Not everything. (Let’s leave a little mystery on the table.) But enough to give you a peek behind the curtain.

So here it is: 10 things you should know about me, (hopefully), your future copy whisperer.

1. I LOVE to write.

Groundbreaking for a content creator, right? But seriously, I really love it. Always have. Whether it's your blog post, social caption, website copy, or newsletter opener, I’m in my happy place when the words are flowing and I’m helping you say what you mean in a way your audience feels.

2. I’m a listener. A really good one.

Yes, I’m also a New Yorker, which means I might interrupt you in my eagerness to connect the dots or shout “yes!” in support. I’m working on it. The truth is I listen deeply. I want to understand your goals, your audience, your vibe. Because that’s how I make your words work.

3. AI is my copilot.

I’m not scared of AI because it helps me poke holes in my first drafts, rephrase sleepy lines, and uncover juicy synonyms I hadn’t thought of. But let’s be clear, AI doesn’t write for me, it writes with me. Big difference.

4. My family is everything.

I’m a mom and grandma. A partner and friend. My people mean the world to me, and that grounded sense of love and connection fuels how I work. Relationships matter. And I carry that into my client work, too. When we work together, it’s never just transactional, it’s personal.

5. I write at 35,000 feet.

I’m an avid traveler and a terrible plane sleeper. So while the rest of the cabin is catching ZZZs, I’m cracking open my laptop, sipping bad coffee, and channeling that mile-high clarity into content creation. You’d be surprised how many taglines were born somewhere between JFK and Singapore.

6. I’m a certified optimist.

Glass half full? Mine’s brimming. Even when things don’t go as planned (and let’s face it, they often don’t), I find the lesson, the silver lining, and the story. I believe that energy shows up in my writing, and I hope you’ll feel it, too.

7. I’ve been in the sales trenches.

Before I pivoted to content full-time, I spent three decades as a sales strategist and trainer. That means your content isn’t just fluffy and fun (though it can be both), it’s crafted to connect, persuade, and move proverbial the needle. I write with purpose.

8. I believe in real talk.

No jargon or pretentious word salad. Just honest, strategic, personality-packed messaging that sounds like you. That’s my sweet spot.

9. I love wearing your “clothes.”

Not literally, but metaphorically. I love stepping into your voice, your tone, your mindset. When I ghostwrite, it’s not about me, it’s about helping you sound more like you on your best day.

10. I’m just getting started.

Even after all these years in business, I feel like I’m hitting my creative stride. I’ve got new projects cooking, new ideas bubbling, and more energy than ever to help business owners like you show up, stand out, and sell without sounding salesy.

If that sounds good to you, let's talk. You know where to find me.
