Content, Content and More Content


As a writer, I must admit that I am more than a little bit happy that these days there is so much emphasis on content.

Do a blog they say, create a newsletter, see if you can get some articles up on Medium (www.medium.com). It’s content all the time, do it, and you will get business.

I’m here to tell you that it isn’t so. Do the content and you will gain visibility and recognition, both wonderful in their own right but not the complete story, because let’s face it, visibility doesn’t pay the bills.

Visibility is good and can help to open doors but at the end of the day, marketing must be married to sales and sales is where the revenue starts to flow.

You can have a fantastic website, excellent marketing materials and social media posts that get you lots of likes but you MUST combine these with a strong sales strategy and sales skills that bring in the business.
